The Department of Education and Sports describes the new NFL tram as a "sporting newcomer." Decorated with NFL logos and lettering, it will travel through the city all year, spreading excitement for the "Munich Game."
Mayor Verena Dietl (SPD) emphasizes: "Munich is a sports city. Besides two European Championships, we are also looking forward to the NFL game in the Allianz Arena again." She is confident that the city's atmosphere will be unique once more.
Sports Director Florian Kraus notes that the city is experiencing a surge in football clubs, particularly the non-contact version, Flag Football. "The tram transports the anticipation for the game and will surely delight the fans," he says.
Alexander Steinforth, Managing Director of NFL Germany, comments: "After the premiere of the NFL International Games 2022 in Germany and the subsequent games in Frankfurt, we are happy to return to Munich this year. The NFL is proud to stir excitement for the Munich Game with the tram. We will undoubtedly witness a special highlight in the 2024 sports calendar!"
The game with the Carolina Panthers will mark another chapter in the growing relationship between Munich and the NFL.
